From the list above, those who are members of the committee represent their specific organization’s mandate to support victims of sexual and domestic violence.  Consumer members (survivors) are usually recommended by a participating agency.  Visit ourResources page to learn more about each individual agency.

It is the responsibility of the agency to ensure the Advisory Committee member meets the requirements of the Terms of Reference as follows:

  • Must provide a Criminal Record Check
  • Consumer members should be out of participating systems for one year prior to becoming a committee member unless unanimously proclaimed by the committee.
  • It is preferable to have a consumer member from each of sexual assault services & domestic violence systems.
